Palmleaf hats are fast becoming the economical summer cowboy hat of choice. They are durable, all-weather hats which can be washed with soap and water. They are designed to be reshaped as often and in as many different ways as the wearer might choose. Reshaping requires only water and the wearer's hands. They can be reshaped as often as the wearer likes, flattening out the brim to shield from the sun or giving it a nice curve for the Saturday night dance. In order to measure yourself for a hat, you will need a soft
cloth or vinyl tape measure (like that used by tailors) and your head.
Take the tape and measure the distance around your head at the position where
your hat normally rests (i.e., above the ears and usually fairly low on the
forehead). We recommend that you ask another person to help you with this
and that you take several measurements. Then use the following chart to
