"Chris LeDoux, a former world champion bareback rider who parlayed songs about the rodeo life into a successful country music career, died March 9, 2005 from complications of liver cancer. He was 56."
Chris LeDoux sang about the cowboy way of life for a long time and most real cowboys and ranchers were listening to his songs long before he teamed up with Garth Brooks and became known to the general public. A quiet family man who nevertheless put on quite a show in public (how many singers bullride on stage?), Chris was a person to admire for his music and his life. We will miss him.
