Normally made from "spring steel", "slip-on" or "quick-on" spurs grip the boot securely and remain in place without the need for spur straps. Western style slip-on spurs ride in the channel just above the heel, while English style spurs ride just above the spur stop. Slip-on spurs are available in a variety of styles. They easily slide on and off making them ideal for spot use by riders who need the spurs temporarily. |
