Cowgirls are excellent reenactors and, in many venues throughout the world, accurately portray the fact that women in America's frontier history were involved in a wide variety of pursuits, including those considered properly feminine and those that weren't - from raising the next generation of westerners, to working the whole farm alone, to herding cattle, to displaying skills as pistoleras.
